Cllr Rachel Waterman
I am Councillor Rachel Waterman, representing the Northwich Leftwich Ward on both Northwich Town Council and Cheshire West and Chester Council, where I also serve as the Leader’s Champion for Cheshire Central.

Mid-Cheshire Champion
Within the partnership, my role is to advocate for its work across west Cheshire and to draw on my networks, experience, and profile to promote, support, and strengthen the partnership’s initiatives.
I was born and educated in Northwich and returned to live here six years ago. I am an active member of the community, and alongside my roles as a Town Councillor and Borough Councillor, I serve as a governor at Rudheath Primary School and as a trustee of Active Cheshire. I have extensive experience in partnership and collaborative working. My most comparable role to my position on the Cheshire Central Partnership was as the Nations and Regions Group (NRG) Manager for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, where I helped ensure the Games delivered social, economic, and sporting benefits across the entire United Kingdom. This experience aligns closely with the aims of the partnership, which seeks to ensure that people recognise Cheshire Central as a vibrant and attractive place to live, work, and visit.
I love my town and I love Cheshire Central. We are so lucky to have so much green space and potential surrounding our three great salt towns.
I hope to bring passion, enthusiasm, connections and a fresh way of approaching opportunities and challenges.
