Jane Hough
I was born and raised in Winsford, at the heart of Cheshire Central, and my lifelong connection to the area gives me a deep understanding of its communities, strengths, and ambitions. This insight underpins my commitment to championing local growth and opportunity as Chair of the Cheshire Central Partnership Board.

Groundwork Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside
I bring more than 20 years of cross-sector leadership experience spanning the public, private, and third sectors. In my role as Deputy Director for Business Improvement Districts and Business Services at Groundwork Cheshire, Lancashire & Merseyside, I have led place-based economic development initiatives across Cheshire, Warrington, and Lancashire. This includes developing and delivering multiple Business Improvement Districts, securing +£17 million in investment to strengthen local economies.
Throughout my career, I have built trusted relationships with businesses across the Northwest, giving me a comprehensive understanding of business needs across a wide range of sectors. My leadership as Interim Chair of the Mid-Cheshire Development Board focused on shaping a refreshed strategic direction, strengthening collaborative working, and positioning the area for inward investment and sustainable growth.
As Chair of the Cheshire Central Partnership Board, a group that brings together leaders from business, housing, transport, regeneration, youth services, tourism and leisure and more; I help guide a shared vision for unlocking opportunities and strengthening partnerships across the area.
Combining professional expertise with lifelong local insight, I am passionate about transparent, collaborative leadership that delivers meaningful, long-term impact for Cheshire Central’s communities, businesses, and future generations.
Outside of work you will often find me walking my 3 dogs in the Cheshire Central countryside or at the health club enduring a gym and swim session.
